The Jordan Restaurant Association (JRA), represented by General Manager Eliana Ja'neini, in collaboration with the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority (ASEZA), has successfully concluded a specialized training course titled "Tourism Restaurant Classification." The course aimed to enhance participants' skills in evaluating and classifying tourism establishments, thereby contributing to raising the quality of services across the sector. The training was led by instructor Zaid Baqali.
On its first day, the course focused on theoretical aspects, reviewing the value chain in tourism establishment inspections and the key characteristics and competencies of an auditor. Participants also gained a comprehensive understanding of the restaurant classification model and its criteria.
The second day was dedicated to practical application. Participants learned how to identify evidence, gather information, and effectively manage meetings. They also conducted practical inspections using the approved standards.
On the final day, the training highlighted the evaluation and feedback phase. Participants were trained on writing professional reports, delivering observations professionally, and developing action plans to improve performance. The course represents a significant step toward developing regulatory competencies, reflecting the commitment of both the JRA and ASEZA to ensuring the highest quality standards in the tourism restaurant sector.
This training is part of a series of initiatives organized by the Jordanian Restaurants Association to elevate the sector's standards and develop its workforce. Through this partnership with ASEZA, the JRA aims to enhance the knowledge and skills of regulatory personnel, ensuring the application of the highest quality and safety standards in food establishments. This step underscores the association's continuous commitment to developing the tourism and food sectors and supporting its partners in creating a professional and sustainable work environment.
