Thursday, November 20, 2025

In a move reflecting its commitment to empowering youth and enhancing their opportunities in the tourism labor market, the Jordan Restaurant Association (JRA) organized an interactive meeting with students from the College of Tourism and Hospitality at Luminus Technical University College (LTUC).

The initiative aimed to introduce students to the realities of the job market, highlight professional development opportunities within the tourism and hospitality sector, and boost their confidence in their capabilities and professional future.

The session featured the JRA’s General Manager, Ms. Eliana Ja’anineh, along with Mr. Mohammad Al-Qasem, Chairman of the Tourism and Hospitality Sector Skills Council, and the JTRA team.

During the meeting, students heard from Ms. Ja’anineh and Mr. Al-Qasem regarding the challenges and opportunities in the Jordanian tourism sector. They received practical guidance on building a successful career path, from CV preparation to confidently handling interviews, with an emphasis on the importance of self-development and the continuous pursuit of knowledge and skills.

The JTRA team also introduced the students to the "SiyahaJobs" platform, which the Association oversees as a national tool to facilitate youth access to job vacancies, alongside presenting available training and development programs via the platform.

The meeting was distinguished by an open dialogue and significant interaction from students, who raised questions reflecting their ambitions and readiness to embark on their professional lives. The General Manager and the team responded to their inquiries, offering motivational advice urging them to believe in their abilities and strive diligently for excellence and success.

Ms. Ja’anineh emphasized that this meeting was not merely an introductory session, but an invitation for youth to become active participants in shaping the future of tourism in Jordan. She noted that the Association believes that investing in young minds is the surest way to build a prosperous and sustainable sector.

In conclusion, the JTRA expressed its deep appreciation for Luminus Technical University College (LTUC) for its supportive partnership and its efforts in preparing a qualified and ambitious generation that believes learning does not stop at the classroom but begins there.
