In line with the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan's commitment to supporting inclusive green growth and providing sustainable job opportunities, the Ministry of Environment, in collaboration with the Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI), organized a capacity-building workshop to prepare the Green Employment National Action Plan (GENAP). The Jordan Restaurant Association (JRA) participated actively in this important workshop.
The workshop served as a crucial step in preparing a strategic roadmap to accelerate the creation of green jobs, promote green entrepreneurship, and equip the Jordanian workforce with the skills needed for a transition to a low-carbon, more sustainable economy.
The workshop featured interactive sessions and constructive dialogues that helped build a common understanding of the current landscape and future prospects of green employment in Jordan. It also laid the foundation for effective cooperation among various stakeholders to successfully develop and implement the Green Employment National Action Plan.
In this context, the Jordan Restaurant Association's participation focused on introductory workshops specific to the tourism sector, as well as conducting interviews for employment within this green initiative. The association confirmed a future plan to provide continuous support for green employment in the tourism sector.
The Ministry of Environment affirms that developing this action plan is a strategic step within national efforts to align economic growth with environmental protection and to create a more resilient, inclusive, and sustainable future.
